October Workshops

Hellooooo Fall!
It's been a long, long journey slogging through the summer heat, battling hordes of mosquitoes and uneven tan lines. FINALLY it's time for cozy cups of pumpkin spiced lattes and even cozier oversized neck scarves! Woo-hoo! I love everything about the fall ~ the aromas, the jewel-like colors, the finely-tuned fashion details that appear only in cold weather clothing...brass buttons, turtlenecks with ironic brooches, lace-trimmed boot socks, all boots in general, buckles. Not only that, but I finally have a great excuse to wear flannel and jeans on a daily basis and not feel like the only lumberjack on the beach who didn't get the memo.

again with the knitting many options. And who ever said knitting a scarf was "boring" or "basic"?:

Lucky Women’s Basel Boot: Stylish and comfortable, low-profile leather boots, perfect for city trips and fall/winter travel packing lists.:
Fall is notorious for experimental comfort foods. (How easy is it to pull the leftovers out of the fridge and make a cheesy casserole? Crock pot here I come!) Or wearing fingerless gloves to accomplish everyday tasks like getting the mail, even when your mailbox is attached to your front door. And the sound of leaves crunching beneath your feet? Priceless. My kids have been going berserk with raking little leaf piles and charging them headfirst. But what to do with all the glittery, painted acorns? For now, they are accumulating in my china cabinet alongside a very lonely pinecone.

How to prep and paint acorns. Cute craft for fall & Thanksgiving. Easy enough for the kids to do.:

Fall is also the best time of year to slip into a craft coma. Literally, a waking dream of craftiness. You know what I'm talking about. Staying up late with your hot glue gun, creating mad amalgamations of felt and ribbon while losing all track of time because that Natalie Imbruglia song is stuck on repeat and you can't help singing along even if you don't know all the words. We all get sucked into our artistic passions sometimes. There could be a craft fair in your future or maybe you've committed yourself body & soul to making handmade holiday gifts this year. Whatever the case may be, I've got two new workshops to get you all fired up!

There will be hot apple cider and plenty of homemade cookies. I can't promise there won't be any angsty female 90s music humming in the background, but fingers crossed we'll get through our craft comas together! Click here to read more! See you at the studio!

xoxo jamillah
